Each Saturday from 7am-12pm, local farmers gather on the banks of The Black Warrior River, where they sell their local produce, grass fed beef, cheeses, and much more. Here are the 5 must-try local foods I have discovered:
1. AA Farm's fresh goat cheese, from Millbrook, Alabama. A square of this- over sliced figs and drizzled with balsamic glaze is an easy, and delicious way to enjoy this fresh cheese.
2.Field Farming's corn; a crop their family-owned business is famous for, and the perfect summer vegetable.
3.George Family Farm's pork. Sample a taste of their pork and you'll understand why this continued family tradition has sucessfully been around for over 30 years.
4. Griffin Ridge Farm's goat milk soap. Although this is not edible, this local, fresh, and homemade soap smells and feels like you are rewarding your hands with each wash.
5.Bobbie Bailey's Homemade Bakery, for those with a sweet tooth, try any of her red velvet, coconut, German chocolate,

or caramel cake, and you'll be begging this busy baker for her secret recipe.
